Talk about a no-brainer! Issue number one of "The Black Terror" in color? -- Break that ol' piggy bank. Modern comic readers know of this patriotic hero from his revivals in Alan Moore's "Tom Strong" stories set on Terra Obscura and Alex Ross's "Project Superpowers" series (which included enough Black Terror solo stories to fill two trade paperbacks). In this 1941 comic, he takes on Nazi storm troopers and state-side Japanese saboteurs. As usual with comics of this vintage, the color registration is off with the masks especially bleeding into the wrong spaces. But this can only be rectified by an expensive process of removing the color and then re-coloring the stories, which would double the cost of these books for collectors. I'm fine with them looking like the originals. A collector's item priced to please on Amazon. Boy, was I glad to add this one to my collection!Product details
